Opening Ports for Call of Duty 2 on the 8Signs 8SignsFirewall Firewall

Open up the 8Signs firewall. Then click the plus sign in front of
Network Adapters.

You should see several options drop down under Network Adapters. You want to choose the choice that your computer is using for your internet connection. Usually this will be the Local Area Connection option. Go ahead and click the plus sign in front of your choice.

Once again you should see a couple of choices drop down. Double click
Rules.

We are going to be working in the lower right window from here on out. Click on the
TCP tab.

Click in the background of the lower right window to get a menu like you see above. Click on the
New option of that window.

Select the
Add a service option from the
Service drop down box.
Go ahead and enter the data shown above into the
Add a Service window. When you are done with that click the
Ok button. You should now be back at the
Edit Rule window. Nothing needs to be changed on this page, so just click
Ok again.
We are going to be working in the lower right window from here on out. Click on the
UDP tab.

Click in the background of the lower right window to get a menu like you see above. Click on the
New option of that window.

Select the
Add a service option from the
Service drop down box.
Go ahead and enter the data shown above into the
Add a Service window. When you are done with that click the
Ok button. You should now be back at the
Edit Rule window. Nothing needs to be changed on this page, so just click
Ok again.

We are going to be working in the lower right window from here on out. Click on the TCP or UDP tab depending upon the protocol of the ports you want to open.

Click in the background of the lower right window to get a menu like you see above. Click on the
New option of that window.

Select the
Add a service option from the
Service drop down box.

You should see a new window open up. Enter the name of the program you are opening ports for into the
Description text box. Enter the ports you want to open into the Local Port(s) boxes. If you want to open a single port just enter that port into both of the Local Port(s) boxes. If you want to open a range of ports, enter the lowest number of that range in to the left hand port box. Then enter the highest number of the range in to the right hand port box. Leave the rest of the settings alone and click the
Ok button.You should now be back at the
Edit Rule window. Nothing needs to be changed on this page, so just click
Ok again.
