Allow traffic out of your network with the Dlink DSL-504G

Open a web browser like internet explorer or Netscape. Enter the ip address of your router in the address bar of your browser. In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the ip address of your router. By default the ip address should be set to 10.1.1.1.

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now. By default both the username and password are admin. Click the Ok button to log in to your router.

Click the Advanced button near the top of the page.

Click the Filters button near the left side of the page.

Put a dot into the Outbound Filter radio button. Select Source IP from the Any IP drop down box. Select Destination IP from the Any IP drop down box. Select Any Port from the Source Port drop down box. If you are opening a single port, select Single Port from the Destination Port drop down box, then enter the port number into the left Destination Port box. If you are opening a range of ports, select Port Range from the Destination Port drop down box, then enter the lowest number of the range into the left Destination Port box and the highest number of the range into the right Destination Port box. Use the Protocol drop down box to select the protocol type of the ports you are opening. Select Allow from the Action drop down box. When you are finished, click the Apply button.

And that is it! You are done!
