Go ahead and open up Infotecs TermiNet Personal Firewall.
Find the name of your computer in the menu on the left hand side of TermiNet and click it. In the picture above you will see my computer is named RandomAction.
You should now see a new menu that has dropped down under your computer's name. Click the
Traffic Rules
option in that new menu. Enter a short description for this rule into the
Description
box. It doesn't really matter what you put into this box, but somethingthat will remind you why this box is here would be a good idea. Use the
Action
drop down box to select allow. The
Application
drop down box should be set to other. Set the
Mode
drop down box to server. Go ahead and set the
Protocol
drop down box to
TCP+UDP
. You might only be allowing TCP or UDP, but it there is very little added security risk by forwarding both protocols. The settings on the
Address
and the
Time
tab should not be changed. So click the
Port
tab. We are going to enter the ports to open in a list. So put a dot into the
Local Port List of Ports
radio button. You should see a new box appear on this page. That's where we are going to enter the ports to open. These ports can be entered as a list like 50,52,54, a range like 500-600, or a combination of both like 50,52,54,500-600. Go ahead and enter the ports to open, and then click the
Ok
button at the top of the page.
