Opening Ports for Rune on the Level One WBR-3460A Firewall

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.0.1.

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

The Default Router Username is: admin

The Default Router Password is: password


Click the Ok button to log in to your router.

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to setup your router's firewall for Rune. Go ahead and enter the settings shown below into the Inbound Packet Filter menu.

Enter the following information into your router.


Add/Edit Service
Name:
Type:
Start Port:
Finish Port:


When you've finished entering the above information, click the Save button.


Again, click the Advanced link near the left side of the screen.

Click the Firewall Rules link near the center of the page.

Click the Incoming Rules Add button.



Enter the following information into your router.


Inbound Services
Service:
Action:
Send to LAN Server:
 
WAN Users:
 Single/Start: ...
 Finish: ...
 
Log:


When you've finished entering the above information, click the Save button.


You should see another page of settings below that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Inbound Packet Filter page. Go ahead and enter those settings now.

Enter the following information into your router.

When you've finished entering the above information, click the Save button.


Again, click the Advanced link near the left side of the screen.

Click the Incoming Rules Add button.

When you've finished entering the above information, click the Save button.

Enter the name of the program into the Name box. It doesn't really matter what you put into this box, but something that will remind you why these ports are being forwarded would be a good idea.

Use the Type drop down box to select the protocol type of the ports you are opening.

If you need to allow a single port, enter that port number into the Start Port and the Finish Port boxes. If you need to allow a range of ports, enter the lowest number of that range into the Start Port box. Then enter the highest number of that range into the Finish Port box.

When you are finished, click the Save button.

Click the Advanced link near the left side of the page.

Click the Firewall Rules link near the center of the page.

Select service you created from the Service drop down box.

Select ALLOW always from the Action drop down box.

Select your computer from the Send to LAN Server drop down box.

Select Any from the WAN Users drop down box.

Select Never from the Log drop down box.

When you are finished, click the Save button.

And that is it! You are done!
