Port Forwarding the ACorp Sprinter-LAN420M Router for QSee QR DVRs

Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the ACorp Sprinter-LAN420M router your computer needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Login to the ACorp Sprinter-LAN420M Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your ACorp Sprinter-LAN420M Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your ACorp Sprinter-LAN420M router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The ACorp Sprinter-LAN420M Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your ACorp Sprinter-LAN420M router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.1.1.

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

The Default ACorp Sprinter-LAN420M Router Username is: admin

The Default ACorp Sprinter-LAN420M Router Password is: admin


Click the Log In button to log in to your ACorp Sprinter-LAN420M router.

Having trouble forwarding ports on the ACorp Sprinter-LAN420M?

If you are having trouble with this guide, then perhaps PFConfig may be your solution. PFConfig is a software tool that will automatically forward ports for your ACorp Sprinter-LAN420M router to save you time and hassle.

Configuring the DVR to pick up an IP address

  • Press Menu
  • Select Network
  • Make sure Type is set to DHCP

  • Select Apply
  • Select Exit
The DVR will reboot & pick up an ip address from the router.


Identifying the IP address

  • Press Menu
  • Select Network
  • Write down the ip address, subnet mask & gateway.


Assign a Static IP

  • Change Type to Static
  • Input the same ip address, subnet mask & gateway - (you wrote down earlier).

  • Select Apply
  • Select Exit
Now you have completed the ip configuration for the dvr.
Move on to the port forwarding section . in you router.

Now that you are logged in to your ACorp Sprinter-LAN420M router you should see the following:

Click the Advanced button near the top of the page.

Click the Port Forwarding button near the left of the page.

Put a dot into the User radio button.

Click the New button near the bottom of the page.

Forward Ports 80 on the ACorp Sprinter-LAN420M

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. QSee QR DVRs requires you to forward the 80,9000 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Rule Management menu and then click Apply.

Forward Ports 9000 on the ACorp Sprinter-LAN420M

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Rule Management page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Apply.

Select the applications you just created in the Available Rules list, then click the Add > button to move them to the Applied Rules box.

And that is it! You are done!


Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for QSee QR DVRs on the ACorp Sprinter-LAN420M you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
