Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.
It's ok if you don't know your Actiontec GT704-WG router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:
Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.
In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Actiontec GT704-WG router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.0.1.
If you are having trouble with this guide, then perhaps PFConfig may be your solution. PFConfig is a software tool that will automatically forward ports for your Actiontec GT704-WG router to save you time and hassle.
Now that you are logged in to your Actiontec GT704-WG router you should see the following:
You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.
Click the button to log in to your Actiontec GT704-WG router.

If you can't login to your router because you forgot your Actiontec GT704-WG router username and password, use our How to Reset a Router Password guide to set your Actiontec GT704-WG router back to its factory settings.
Click the Setup / Configuration link.
Click the Advanced Setup link near the left of the page.
Click the Begin Advanced Setup button.
Click the Application Level Gateway link near the left of the page.
Put a dot into the User radio button.
Click the New button.
We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. Subsonic requires you to forward the 80,4040 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Rule Management menu and then click Apply.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Rule Management page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Apply.

When you are finished, click the Back button.
Use the LAN Device box to choose a computer to forward ports to. This box contains a list of computer names that are visible on your network.
Select the applications you just created in the Available Rules list, then click the Add>> button to move them to the Applied Rule box.
When you're finished, click Save and Restart near the left of the screen to save your changes.
And that's it! You're done!
Now that you have forwarded ports for Subsonic on the Actiontec GT704-WG you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
