Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Actiontec GT784WN router your device needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Login to the Actiontec GT784WN Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your Actiontec GT784WN Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your Actiontec GT784WN router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The Actiontec GT784WN Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Actiontec GT784WN router. By default the IP address should be set to

How to Port Forward CnM Secure 4 Channel H.264 DVR on the Actiontec GT784WN

Now that you are logged in to your Actiontec GT784WN router you should see the following:

Click the Advanced Setup link near the top of the page.

The menu on the left should change. In this new menu, click Port Forwarding.

Forward Ports 80 on the Actiontec GT784WN

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. CnM Secure 4 Channel H.264 DVR requires you to forward the 80,34567 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Port Forwarding menu and then click Apply.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Port Forwarding page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Apply.

And that is it! You are done!

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for CnM Secure 4 Channel H.264 DVR on the Actiontec GT784WN you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
