Port Forwarding for the Airlink+ 802.11g AR315W Wireless Router

What is Port Forwarding?
What is Port Triggering?

Open a web browser like internet explorer or Netscape. Enter the ip address of your router in the address bar of your browser. In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the ip address of your router. By default the ip address should be set to 192.168.0.1.

Click the Advanced link near the left side of the page.

You should now see a new menu. In this new menu, click Virtual Servers.

Click the Clear Form button. Put a checkmark in the Enable checkbox. Enter the name of the program into the following box. It doesn't really matter what you put into this box, but something that will remind you why these ports are being forwarded would be a good idea. Use the PC (Server) box to choose a computer to forward ports to. This box contains a list of computer names that are visible on your network. Use the Protocol drop down box to select the protocol type of the ports you are forwarding. If you are forwarding a single port, enter that port number into both of the Internal (LAN) Ports and both of the External (LAN) Ports boxes. If you are forwarding a range of ports, enter the lowest number of that range into the left hand Internal (LAN) Ports and External (LAN) Ports boxes. Then enter the highest number of that range into the right hand Internal (LAN) Ports and External (LAN) Ports boxes. When you are finished, click the Add as New Server button.

And that is it! You are done!
