Before we can forward ports for Easy File Sharing Web Server, we need to figure out what ports Easy File Sharing Web Server is using. Here is a brief walkthrough on how to do that. Go ahead and open up Easy File Sharing Web Server.

On the main page of Easy File Sharing Web Server, you will see a bunch of options. There should be a Port box right at the top of the Easy File Sharing Web Server page. This box contains the port that needs to be forwarded in your router for Easy File Sharing Web Server to work. You can change this port to whatever you like. If you change the port to something other than 80, people connecting to Easy File Sharing Web Server will have to specify that port number when connecting. Let's say your routers external ip address is 205.181.0.9, and you specified port 500 in Easy File Sharing Web Server. Someone connecting to Easy File Sharing Web Server would type http://205.181.0.9:500 into their web browser. Please enter the port you chose for Easy File Sharing Web Server below.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.1.1:8080.

If NAT is not enabled, you do not have to do port forwarding. Your router is setup as a bridge. You get your IP addresses directly from your ISP. If the software you are trying to run does not work, your ISP may be blocking those ports. You should make sure those ports are allowed through any firewall you may have on your computer.

If NAT is enabled, you should see a Add Reserved Mapping button on this page. Go ahead and click that button now.
