Before we can forward ports for DC++, we need to set which port DC++ is using. Here is a brief walkthrough on how to do that. Go ahead and open up DC++.
Click File in the menu at the top of your screen. In the list that drops down click Settings.
Make sure the Active radio button has a dot in it. I'm not absolutely sure that entering your external ip address in the IP box is required. You can try leaving it blank, but if you remain unconnectable try putting your external ip address into that box. Your external ip address is 220.127.116.11. Enter the port you want DC++ to use into the TCP Port and the UDP Port boxes. You can enter whatever port you like into those boxes, but a port between 10000-60000 will most likely not be blocked by your ISP. Please enter the port you chose into the box below.
Now that you are logged in to your Asante FR3004FriendlyNet router you should see the following:
Click the Advanced button near the top of the page.
We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. DC++ requires you to forward the ports you entered above. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Distributed Servers Setup menu.
|Port ID||Service Ports||Server IP||Enable|
When you are finished, click the Apply New Distributed Servers Setting button.
Click the Status button near the top of the page.
Click the Restart Router button near the bottom of the page.
And that is it! You are done!
Now that you have forwarded ports for DC++ on the Asante FR3004FriendlyNet you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
