Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Asus RT-G32 router your device needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Login to the Asus RT-G32 Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your Asus RT-G32 Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your Asus RT-G32 router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The Asus RT-G32 Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Asus RT-G32 router. By default the IP address should be set to

How to Port Forward Echolink on the Asus RT-G32

Having trouble forwarding ports on the Asus RT-G32?

If you are having trouble with this guide, then perhaps PFConfig may be your solution. PFConfig is a software tool that will automatically forward ports for your router to save you time and hassle.

Now that you are logged in to your Asus RT-G32 router you should see the following:

Click the WAN button near the left of the page.

Click the Virtual Server button near the top of the page.

Forward Ports 5200 on the Asus RT-G32

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. Echolink requires you to forward the 5198-5200 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Virtual Server menu and then click Add.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Virtual Server page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Add.

When you're finished, click Apply near the bottom of the screen to save your changes.

And that's it! You're done!

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for Echolink on the Asus RT-G32 you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
