Port Forwarding the Asus WL-530G Router for Starwars Battle Front

Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Asus WL-530G router your computer needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Login to the Asus WL-530G Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your Asus WL-530G Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your Asus WL-530G router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The Asus WL-530G Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Asus WL-530G router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.1.1.

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

The Default Asus WL-530G Router Username is: admin

The Default Asus WL-530G Router Password is: admin


Click the Ok button to log in to your Asus WL-530G router.

Now that you are logged in to your Asus WL-530G router you should see the following:

Click the NAT Settings link near the left of the page.

You should now see a new menu. In this new menu, click Virutal Server.

Forward Ports 3658-3659 on the Asus WL-530G

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. Starwars Battle Front requires you to forward the 3658-3659,6500 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Virtual Server menu and then click Add.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Virtual Server page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Add.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Virtual Server page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Add.

Forward Ports 6500 on the Asus WL-530G

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Virtual Server page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Add.

When you're finished, click Apply near the bottom of the screen to save your changes.

And that's it! You're done!


Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for Starwars Battle Front on the Asus WL-530G you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
