Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Aztech DSL605EW router your computer needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Login to the Aztech DSL605EW Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your Aztech DSL605EW Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your Aztech DSL605EW router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The Aztech DSL605EW Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Aztech DSL605EW router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.1.1.

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

The Default Aztech DSL605EW Router Username is: admin

The Default Aztech DSL605EW Router Password is: admin


Click the Log In button to log in to your Aztech DSL605EW router.

How to Port Forward any port on the Aztech DSL605EW

Now that you are logged in to your Aztech DSL605EW router you should see the following:

Click the Application link near the left of the page.

You should now see a new menu. In this new menu, click Port Forwarding.

Put a dot into the User radio button.

Click the New button near the bottom of the page.

Enter the name of the program into the Rule Name box. It doesn't really matter what you put into this box, but something that will remind you why these ports are being forwarded would be a good idea.

Use the Protocol drop down box to select the protocol type of the ports you are forwarding.

If you are forwarding a single port, enter that port number into the Port Map, Port Start and the Port End boxes. If you are forwarding a range of ports, enter the lowest number of that range into the Port Map, Port Start box. Then enter the highest number of that range into the Port End box.

When you are finished, click the Submit button.

Select the applications you just created in the Available Rules list, then click the Add > button to move them to the Applied Rules box.

When you're finished, click Submit near the bottom of the screen to save your changes.

And that's it! You're done!


Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for any port on the Aztech DSL605EW you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
