Login to the BT BT2700HGVv2 Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your BT BT2700HGVv2 Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your BT BT2700HGVv2 router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your BT BT2700HGVv2 router. By default the IP address should be set to

You should see a box prompting you for your BT BT2700HGVv2 password. Enter the password now.

Click the Submit button to log in to your BT BT2700HGVv2 router.

How to Port Forward GeoVision TwinServer on the BT BT2700HGVv2

Now that you are logged in to your BT BT2700HGVv2 router you should see the following:

Click the Settings button near the top of the page.

Click the Firewall button near the top of the page.

You should now see a new menu. In this new menu, click Allow Applications, Pinholes and DMZ Mode.

Use the Select a Computer box to choose a device to forward ports to. This box contains a list of device names that are visible on your network.

Put a dot into the Allow Individual Applications radio button.

Click the Add a New User-Defined Application link near the center of the page.

Forward Ports 9650 on the BT BT2700HGVv2

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. GeoVision TwinServer requires you to forward the 9650 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Firewall Application Profile Definition menu and then click Add to List.

Select the applications you just created in the User-Defined list, then click the Add button to move them to the Hosted Applications box.

When you're finished, click Save near the bottom of the screen to save your changes.

And that's it! You're done!

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for GeoVision TwinServer on the BT BT2700HGVv2 you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
