What is Port Forwarding?

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser. If you do not know your routers internal IP address please read our How To Find Your Routers IP Address guide.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.1.254.

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now. By default the username is admin, and the password is password. Click the Ok button to log in to your router.

Click the Settings button near the top of the page.

You should now see a new menu. In this new menu, click Advanced Settings.

Click the Continue to Advanced Settings button near the center of the page.

Click the Application Sharing link near the top of the page.

You should now see a new menu. In this new menu, click Supported Applications.

Click the Add new game or application button near the center of the page.

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. World of Warcraft Downloader requires you to forward the 1119-1120,3724,4000,6112-6114,6881-6999 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Add user defined game or application menu and then click Add.

When you are finished, click the Apply button.

Click the Configuration link near the top of the page.

Use the Device box to choose a computer to forward ports to. This box contains a list of computer names that are visible on your network.

Select the application you created using the Game or application drop down box. Then click Add to enable it.

When you're finished, click Apply near the bottom of the screen to save your changes.

And that's it! You're done!
