Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Bandridge CWN7004G router your computer needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

Login To The Bandridge CWN7004G Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Bandridge CWN7004G router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.1.254.

Configuring the DVR to pick up an IP address

  • Press Menu
  • Select System

  • Select Network

  • Put a check in the DHCP box.
  • Select OK.

  • Exit out to the live cameras by pressing the ESC button on the DVR.


Power Cycle the DVR

  • Remove the power cable from the back of the dvr.
  • Wait 20 seconds.
  • Plug in the power cable.


Identifying the IP address

  • Press Menu
  • Select Info
  • Select Network

  • Write down the IP address, subnet mask & gateway found on your info network screen.



Assign a Static IP

  • Press Menu
  • Select System

  • Select Network

  • Remove the check from the DHCP box.
  • Input the same IP address, subnet mask & gateway - (you wrote down earlier).

  • Select ok

Now that you are logged in to your Bandridge CWN7004G router you should see the following:

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

The Default Bandridge CWN7004G Router Username is: blank

The Default Bandridge CWN7004G Router Password is: blank


Click the Ok button to log in to your Bandridge CWN7004G router.

Click the Firewalling link near the left of the page.

You should now see a new menu. In this new menu, click Port Forwarding.

Forward Ports 80 on the Bandridge CWN7004G

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. Qsee QSD2308C8-320 requires you to forward the 80,2000 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Port Forwarding menu and then click Apply Changes.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Port Forwarding page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Apply Changes.

And that is it! You are done!
