Port Forwarding the Belkin F7D8302v1 Router for QSee QSDT DVRs

Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Belkin F7D8302v1 router your computer needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:


Now that you have setup a Static IP Address on your computer, please enter the IP address that you assigned to your computer here:

Login to the Belkin F7D8302v1 Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

It's ok if you don't know your Belkin F7D8302v1 router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The Belkin F7D8302v1 Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Belkin F7D8302v1 router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.2.1.

You should see a box prompting you for your Belkin F7D8302v1 password. Enter the password now.

If you are having trouble with this guide, then perhaps PFConfig may be your solution. PFConfig is a software tool that will automatically forward ports for your Belkin F7D8302v1 router to save you time and hassle.

Configuring the DVR to pick up an IP address

  • Press Menu
  • Select System

  • Select Network

  • Put a check in the DHCP box.
  • Select OK.

  • Exit out to the live cameras by pressing the ESC button on the DVR.


Power Cycle the DVR

  • Remove the power cable from the back of the dvr.
  • Wait 20 seconds.
  • Plug in the power cable.


Identifying the IP address

  • Press Menu
  • Select Info
  • Select Network

  • Write down the IP address, subnet mask & gateway found on your info network screen.



Assign a Static IP

  • Press Menu
  • Select System

  • Select Network

  • Remove the check from the DHCP box.
  • Input the same IP address, subnet mask & gateway - (you wrote down earlier).

  • Select ok

Now that you are logged in to your Belkin F7D8302v1 router you should see the following:

Click the Virtual Servers link near the left of the page.

Forward Ports 80 on the Belkin F7D8302v1

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. QSee QSDT DVRs requires you to forward the following ports: 80,2000. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Virtual Servers menu.

Forward Ports 2000 on the Belkin F7D8302v1

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Virtual Servers page. Go ahead and enter those settings now.

When you're finished, click Apply Changes near the bottom of the screen to save your changes.

And that's it! You're done!


Test if Your Ports are Open
