Port Forwarding AppNameTag on the Bell Speedstream 6520

What is Port Forwarding?
What is Port Triggering?

To setup port forwarding on this router your computer needs to have a static ip address. Take a look at our Static IP Address guide to setup a static ip address. When you are finished setting up a static ip address, please come back to this page and enter the ip address you setup in the Static IP Address box below.

Do not skip this step!

Open a web browser like internet explorer or Netscape. Enter the ip address of your router in the address bar of your browser. In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the ip address of your router. By default the ip address should be set to 192.168.254.254.

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now. By default both the username and password are admin. Click the Ok button to log in to your router.

Click the Advanced button near the top of the page.

Click the Applications button near the left of the page.

Click the Quick Setup on Current Computer link near the center of the page.

Click the Configure a specific application link near the bottom of the page.

Use the Select protocol drop down box to select the protocol type of the ports you are forwarding. If you are forwarding a single port, enter that port number into the Left TCP/UDP ports and the Right TCP/UDP ports boxes. If you are forwarding a range of ports, enter the lowest number of that range into the Left TCP/UDP ports box. Then enter the highest number of that range into the Right TCP/UDP ports box. Put a dot into the Redirect selected protocol/application to IP Address radio button. Enter the ip address to forward these ports to into the IP Address box. If you are forwarding ports so you can run a program on your computer, you should enter your computer's ip address into that box. When you are finished, click the Apply button.

And that is it! You are done!

To test if your port has been properly forwarded, you can use our Port Checker tool.
