Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Billion Bipac-640AE router your computer needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:


Now that you have setup a Static IP Address on your computer, please enter the IP address that you assigned to your computer here:

Login to the Billion Bipac-640AE Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

Login To The Billion Bipac-640AE Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Billion Bipac-640AE router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.1.254.

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

Click the Ok button to log in to your Billion Bipac-640AE router.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Virtual Server page. Go ahead and enter those settings now.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Virtual Server page. Go ahead and enter those settings now.

When you are finished, click the Apply button.

Click the Firewall link near the left of the page.

You should now see a new menu. In this new menu, click Packet Filter.

If your firewall is disabled, you are done. Your port forwarding setup is complete. If your firewall is not disabled, then read on.

We are only really concerned with two things on this page. We want to look at the Source Port and Dest. Port boxes. Do any of the ports you are trying to forward fall between either of these port ranges? If they do, you need to modify your firewall to allow those ports through.

And that is it! You are done!


Test if Your Ports are Open
