Port Forwarding the CNET 914-W Router for OpenWengo

Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the CNET 914-W router your computer needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Login to the CNET 914-W Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your CNET 914-W Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your CNET 914-W router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The CNET 914-W Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your CNET 914-W router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.1.25.

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

The Default CNET 914-W Router Username is: admin

The Default CNET 914-W Router Password is: admin


Click the Ok button to log in to your CNET 914-W router.

Now that you are logged in to your CNET 914-W router you should see the following:

Click the Firewall link near the left of the page.

You should now see a new menu. In this new menu, click Port Forwarding.

Forward Ports 5060 on the CNET 914-W

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. OpenWengo requires you to forward the 5060,10600,10602 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Port Forwarding menu and then click Apply Changes.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Port Forwarding page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Apply Changes.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Port Forwarding page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Apply Changes.

When you're finished, click Save/Reload Settings near the left of the screen to save your changes.

And that's it! You're done!


Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for OpenWengo on the CNET 914-W you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
