Port Forwarding the CNET CAR2-804 Router for Condor - The Competition Soaring Simulator

Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the CNET CAR2-804 router your computer needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Login to the CNET CAR2-804 Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your CNET CAR2-804 Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your CNET CAR2-804 router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The CNET CAR2-804 Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your CNET CAR2-804 router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.1.1.

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

The Default CNET CAR2-804 Router Username is: admin

The Default CNET CAR2-804 Router Password is: admin


Click the Log In button to log in to your CNET CAR2-804 router.

Now that you are logged in to your CNET CAR2-804 router you should see the following:

Click the Advanced button near the top of the page.

The menu on the left should change. In this new menu, click Port Forwarding.

Click the Custom Port Forwarding link.

Forward Ports 56278 on the CNET CAR2-804

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. Condor - The Competition Soaring Simulator requires you to forward the 56278 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Custom Port Forwarding menu and then click Apply.

Forward Ports 56278 on the CNET CAR2-804

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Custom Port Forwarding page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Apply.

Use the LAN IP box to choose a computer to forward ports to. This box contains a list of computer names that are visible on your network.

Put a dot into the User radio button.

Select the applications you just created in the Available Rules list, then click the Add > button to move them to the Applied Rules box.

When you are finished, click the Apply button.

When you're finished, click Save All near the left of the screen to save your changes.

And that's it! You're done!


Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for Condor - The Competition Soaring Simulator on the CNET CAR2-804 you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
