To setup port forwarding on the Dana NW514OSR router your device needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:
Now that you have setup a Static IP Address on your device, please enter the IP address that you assigned to your device here:
Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.
It's ok if you don't know your Dana NW514OSR router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:
Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.
In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Dana NW514OSR router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.10.1.
You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.
Click the Ok button to log in to your Dana NW514OSR router.

Before we can forward ports for BearShare, we need to figure out what ports BearShare is using. Here is a brief walkthrough on how to do that. Go ahead and open up BearShare.
Click Setup in the menu at the top of your screen. In the list that drops down click Connection.
On this page you should see a Listening Port for Incomming TCP and UDP Connections box. This box contains the port you need to forward to the computer you are running BearShare on. You can change this port number if you want to. Please enter the port you chose into the box below.
Now that you are logged in to your Dana NW514OSR router you should see the following:
Click the Advanced link near the top of the page.
We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. BearShare requires you to forward the ports you entered above. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Virtual Server Setup menu and then click Add.
|Internal Server IP Address||...||Protocol|
|External Port||Internal Port|
When you're finished, click Save near the top of the screen to save your changes.
And that's it! You're done!
Now that you have forwarded ports for BearShare on the Dana NW514OSR you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
