Port Forwarding the Dlink DSL-2640S Router for XBOX360 Tenchu Z

Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Dlink DSL-2640S router your device needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Now that you have setup a Static IP Address on your device, please enter the IP address that you assigned to your device here:

Login to the Dlink DSL-2640S Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your Dlink DSL-2640S Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your Dlink DSL-2640S router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The Dlink DSL-2640S Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Dlink DSL-2640S router. By default the IP address should be set to

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

The Default Dlink DSL-2640S Router Username is: admin

The Default Dlink DSL-2640S Router Password is: sky

Click the Ok button to log in to your Dlink DSL-2640S router.

How to Port Forward XBOX360 Tenchu Z on the Dlink DSL-2640S

Now that you are logged in to your Dlink DSL-2640S router you should see the following:

Forward Ports 3074 on the Dlink DSL-2640S

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. XBOX360 Tenchu Z requires you to forward the following ports: 3074. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Port Forwarding menu.

Click the Security link near the top of the page.

You should now see a new menu, in this new menu click Services.


Click the Add a Custom Service button near the center of the page.


Go ahead and enter the following settings in to your router's Add Custom Service page.

Server Definition Name:    
Start Port:    
Finish Port:  

When you're finished, click the Apply button.

Now we need to do the second half of the port forward, so click the Firewall Rules link near the top of the page.


Click the Inbound Services or Outbound Services Add button. If you are unsure whether the program you are using will use these ports for inbound or outbound traffic, go ahead and repeat the following for both.


Go ahead and enter the following settings in to your router's Firewall Rules page.

Send to LAN Server:   ...
WAN Users:  
Start:   ...
Finish:   ...

When you're finished, click the Apply button.

And that is it! You are done!

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for XBOX360 Tenchu Z on the Dlink DSL-2640S you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
