To setup port forwarding on the Dlink DSL-3780 router your computer needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:
Now that you have setup a Static IP Address on your computer, please enter the IP address that you assigned to your computer here:
In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Dlink DSL-3780 router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.1.1.
You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.
Click the Ok button to log in to your Dlink DSL-3780 router.
Please visit our Default Dlink Router Passwords page if the username and password shown below did not work for you.
If you can't login to your router because you forgot your Dlink DSL-3780 router username and password, use our How to Reset a Router Password guide to set your Dlink DSL-3780 router back to its factory settings.
Click the Advanced Setup link near the top of the page.
The menu on the left should change. In this new menu, click Virtual Server.
Put a checkmark in the Enable Virtual Server Rules checkbox.
Enter the name of the program into the Name box. It doesn't really matter what you put into this box, but something that will remind you why these ports are being forwarded would be a good idea.
Select an available connection using the Interface drop down box.
Enter the ip address to forward these ports to into the Internal IP box. If you are forwarding ports so you can run a program on your computer, you should enter your computer's ip address into that box.
If you are forwarding a single port, enter that port number into the Internal startport, Internal endport, External startport and External endport boxes. If you are forwarding a range of ports, enter the lowest number of the range into the Internal startport and External startport boxes. Then enter the highest number of the range into the Internal endport and External endport boxes.
Use the Protocol Type drop down box to select the protocol type of the ports you are forwarding.
When you are finished, click the Add/Apply button.
And that is it! You are done!
Now that you have forwarded ports for any port on the Dlink DSL-3780 you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
