Port Forwarding the Dlink DVA-G3810BN-TL Router for GE Security TVR-1004-1T

Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Dlink DVA-G3810BN-TL router your device needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

Click the Ok button to log in to your Dlink DVA-G3810BN-TL router.

Now that you are logged in to your Dlink DVA-G3810BN-TL router you should see the following:

Click the Services button near the top of the page.

You should now see a new menu. In this new menu, click Firewall.

Click the Port Forwarding link near the top of the page.

Click the New Entry link near the bottom of the page.

Enter the ip address to forward these ports to into the Local Host box. If you are forwarding ports so you can run a program on your device, you should enter your device's ip address into that box.

Select User Defined from the Protocol drop down box.

Enter the name of the program into the Service Name box. It doesn't really matter what you put into this box, but something that will remind you why these ports are being forwarded would be a good idea.

Click the New Server Ports link near the bottom of the page.

Forward Ports 80 on the Dlink DVA-G3810BN-TL

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. GE Security TVR-1004-1T requires you to forward the 80,8000 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Edit Service Server Ports menu and then click Ok.

Forward Ports 8000 on the Dlink DVA-G3810BN-TL

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Edit Service Server Ports page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Ok.

When you are finished, click the Ok button.

When you're finished, click Ok near the bottom of the screen to save your changes.

And that's it! You're done!

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for GE Security TVR-1004-1T on the Dlink DVA-G3810BN-TL you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
