Port Forwarding the Dynalink RTA100+ Router for Jamcast

Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Dynalink RTA100+ router your device needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Now that you have setup a Static IP Address on your device, please enter the IP address that you assigned to your device here:

Login to the Dynalink RTA100+ Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your Dynalink RTA100+ Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your Dynalink RTA100+ router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The Dynalink RTA100+ Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Dynalink RTA100+ router. By default the IP address should be set to

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

The Default Dynalink RTA100+ Router Username is: root

The Default Dynalink RTA100+ Router Password is: root

Click the Ok button to log in to your Dynalink RTA100+ router.

Now that you are logged in to your Dynalink RTA100+ router you should see the following:

Click the Services button near the top of the page.

Select NAT Rule Entry from the NAT Options drop down box.

Click the Add button near the bottom of the page.

Forward Ports 58642 on the Dynalink RTA100+

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. Jamcast requires you to forward the 58642 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the NAT Rule - Add menu and then click Submit.

Click the Close button near the bottom of the page.

Click the IP Filter link near the top of the page.

Select Low from the Security Level drop down box.

Select Accept from the Public Default Action, Private Default Action and DMZ Default Action drop down box.

Click the Submit button near the bottom of the page.

Click the Admin button near the top of the page.

You should now see a new menu. In this new menu, click Commit & Reboot.

Click the Commit button near the bottom of the page.

And that is it! You are done!

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for Jamcast on the Dynalink RTA100+ you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
