Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Dynamode R-ADSL-C4-2 router your computer needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:


Now that you have setup a Static IP Address on your computer, please enter the IP address that you assigned to your computer here:

Login to the Dynamode R-ADSL-C4-2 Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your Dynamode R-ADSL-C4-2 Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your Dynamode R-ADSL-C4-2 router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The Dynamode R-ADSL-C4-2 Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Dynamode R-ADSL-C4-2 router. By default the IP address should be set to 10.0.0.2.

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

Click the Ok button to log in to your Dynamode R-ADSL-C4-2 router.

Configuring the DVR to pick up an IP address

  • Press Menu
  • Select Network
  • Make sure Type is set to DHCP

  • Select Apply
  • Select Exit
The DVR will reboot & pick up an ip address from the router.


Identifying the IP address

  • Press Menu
  • Select Network
  • Write down the ip address, subnet mask & gateway.


Assign a Static IP

  • Change Type to Static
  • Input the same ip address, subnet mask & gateway - (you wrote down earlier).

  • Select Apply
  • Select Exit
Now you have completed the ip configuration for the dvr.
Move on to the port forwarding section . in you router.

Now that you are logged in to your Dynamode R-ADSL-C4-2 router you should see the following:

Click the Services button near the top of the page.

Select NAT Rule Entry from the NAT Options drop down box.

Click the Add button near the bottom of the page.

Forward Ports 80 on the Dynamode R-ADSL-C4-2

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. QSee QR404-403-4 requires you to forward the 80,9000 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the NAT Rule - Add menu and then click Submit.

Forward Ports 9000 on the Dynamode R-ADSL-C4-2

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers NAT Rule - Add page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Submit.

Click the Close button near the bottom of the page.

Click the IP Filter link near the top of the page.

Select Low from the Security Level drop down box.

Select Accept from the Public Default Action, Private Default Action and DMZ Default Action drop down box.

Click the Submit button near the bottom of the page.

Click the Admin button near the top of the page.

You should now see a new menu. In this new menu, click Commit & Reboot.

Click the Commit button near the bottom of the page.

Click the Reboot button near the bottom of the page.

And that is it! You are done!


Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for QSee QR404-403-4 on the Dynamode R-ADSL-C4-2 you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
