Port Forwarding the E-Tech ADWG03 Router for Http File Server-HFS

Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the E-Tech ADWG03 router your computer needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Login to the E-Tech ADWG03 Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your E-Tech ADWG03 Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your E-Tech ADWG03 router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The E-Tech ADWG03 Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your E-Tech ADWG03 router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.1.1.

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

The Default E-Tech ADWG03 Router Username is: Admin

The Default E-Tech ADWG03 Router Password is: Admin


Click the Log In button to log in to your E-Tech ADWG03 router.

How to Port Forward Http File Server-HFS on the E-Tech ADWG03


Having trouble forwarding ports on the E-Tech ADWG03?

If you are having trouble with this guide, then perhaps PFConfig may be your solution. PFConfig is a software tool that will automatically forward ports for your E-Tech ADWG03 router to save you time and hassle.

Before we can forward ports for HFS, we need to set the ports HFS is using. Go ahead and open up HFS.

At the very top of your screen you should see a Port box. That box contains the port that you need to forward for HFS. You can change this port if you want to. Please enter the port you chose into the box below.

Now that you are logged in to your E-Tech ADWG03 router you should see the following:

Click the Advanced button near the top of the page.

The menu on the left should change. In this new menu, click Port Forwarding.

Put a dot into the User radio button.

Click the New button.

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. Http File Server-HFS requires you to forward the ports you entered above. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Rule Management menu and then click Apply.

Select the applications you just created in the Available Rules list, then click the Add > button to move them to the Applied Rules box.

When you are finished, click the Apply button.


Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for Http File Server-HFS on the E-Tech ADWG03 you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
