Port Forwarding the E-Tech ATBR03 Router for KGuard KG-SH122E

Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the E-Tech ATBR03 router your computer needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:


Now that you have setup a Static IP Address on your computer, please enter the IP address that you assigned to your computer here:

192.168.1. <-- Don't Skip This Step!

Login to the E-Tech ATBR03 Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your E-Tech ATBR03 Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your E-Tech ATBR03 router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The E-Tech ATBR03 Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your E-Tech ATBR03 router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.1.1.

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

The Default E-Tech ATBR03 Router Username is: admin

The Default E-Tech ATBR03 Router Password is: admin


Click the Ok button to log in to your E-Tech ATBR03 router.

How to Port Forward KGuard KG-SH122E on the E-Tech ATBR03


Having trouble forwarding ports on the E-Tech ATBR03?

If you are having trouble with this guide, then perhaps PFConfig may be your solution. PFConfig is a software tool that will automatically forward ports for your E-Tech ATBR03 router to save you time and hassle.

First we need to make sure that your DVR is configured correctly. In the KGuard menu system you should see the following.



Go ahead and select Setup.



Now select Network



Make sure Net Type is set to Static IP, then make a note of the IP Address listed here. In the picture above the IP Address is listed as 192.168.3.106. Yours will be different. Write down the numbers that you see on your DVR. This is the address that you'll be forwarding the ports to.

Now that you are logged in to your E-Tech ATBR03 router you should see the following:

Click the Virtual Server link near the left of the page.

Forward Ports 67 on the E-Tech ATBR03

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. KGuard KG-SH122E requires you to forward the following ports: 67,68,80. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Virtual Server Settings menu.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Virtual Server Settings page. Go ahead and enter those settings now.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Virtual Server Settings page. Go ahead and enter those settings now.

When you're finished, click Apply near the bottom of the screen to save your changes.

And that's it! You're done!


Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for KGuard KG-SH122E on the E-Tech ATBR03 you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
