Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Edimax BR-6624 router your computer needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Login to the Edimax BR-6624 Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your Edimax BR-6624 Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your Edimax BR-6624 router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The Edimax BR-6624 Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Edimax BR-6624 router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.2.1.

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

The Default Edimax BR-6624 Router Username is: admin

The Default Edimax BR-6624 Router Password is: blank


Click the Ok button to log in to your Edimax BR-6624 router.

Now that you are logged in to your Edimax BR-6624 router you should see the following:

Click the Advanced Configuration button near the left of the page.

You should now see a new menu. In this new menu, click Virtual Server.

Forward Ports 3783 on the Edimax BR-6624

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. Microsofts Flight Simulator X requires you to forward the 3783,6073,6500,6515,6667,13139,23456,27900,28900,29900-29901 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Virtual Server menu and then click Add.
