How to Port Forward mIRC DCC - IRC DCC on the GetNet GR-534W

Having trouble forwarding ports on the GetNet GR-534W?

If you are having trouble with this guide, then perhaps PFConfig may be your solution. PFConfig is a software tool that will automatically forward ports for your GetNet GR-534W router to save you time and hassle.

Before we can forward ports for mIRC, we need to set the ports that Mirc uses. Here is a brief walkthrough on how to do that. Go ahead and open up mIRC.

Click View in the menu at the top of your screen. In the list that drops down click Options.

On the left hand side of this new page click the plus sign in front of Connect. In the list that drops down click the Options link. There should be an Advanced button on this page. Go ahead and click it now.

Make sure there is a checkmark in the DCC checkbox. We will be using 10051 through 10070 as our port range in this example, but you can choose any port range you like. If you decide to choose another port range, you will need to forward the ports you chose instead of 10051 to 10070. The port range we are using in this example gives us plenty of ports for DCC file transfers. Once you have set the ports to use click the OK button all the way out to mIRC's main menu.
