Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Gigabyte GN-B41G router your computer needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

Configuring the DVR to pick up an IP address

  • Press Menu
  • Select System

  • Select Network

  • Put a check in the DHCP box.
  • Select OK.

  • Exit out to the live cameras by pressing the ESC button on the DVR.

Power Cycle the DVR

  • Remove the power cable from the back of the dvr.
  • Wait 20 seconds.
  • Plug in the power cable.

Identifying the IP address

  • Press Menu
  • Select Info
  • Select Network

  • Write down the IP address, subnet mask & gateway found on your info network screen.

Assign a Static IP

  • Press Menu
  • Select System

  • Select Network

  • Remove the check from the DHCP box.
  • Input the same IP address, subnet mask & gateway - (you wrote down earlier).

  • Select ok

Now that you are logged in to your Gigabyte GN-B41G router you should see the following:

Click the Virtual Server link near the left of the page.

The menu near the top should change. In this new menu, click PPPoE/DHCP/Static Type.

Forward Ports 80,2000 on the Gigabyte GN-B41G

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. Qsee QSTD5088C-500 requires you to forward the following ports: 80,2000. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Virtual Server menu.
