Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Hama DR-50 router your device needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Login to the Hama DR-50 Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your Hama DR-50 Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your Hama DR-50 router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The Hama DR-50 Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Hama DR-50 router. By default the IP address should be set to

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

The Default Hama DR-50 Router Username is: admin

The Default Hama DR-50 Router Password is: epicrouter

Click the Ok button to log in to your Hama DR-50 router.

How to Port Forward QSee QT428-803 on the Hama DR-50

Having trouble forwarding ports on the Hama DR-50?

If you are having trouble with this guide, then perhaps PFConfig may be your solution. PFConfig is a software tool that will automatically forward ports for your router to save you time and hassle.

  • Go to the Network Menu.
  • Put a check into the Obtain an IP Address Automatically box.
  • Click the Test button.
  • Look near the lower left corner. If it says Ok, then click on Apply, then Exit.

  • Go to Menu - Information and Network
  • Write down the IP Address, Subnet Mask and Gateway.

  • Go back to the Network Menu.
  • Uncheck the Obtain an IP Address Automatically box.
  • Now enter the IP Address, Gateway and Subnet Mask you wrote down earlier.
  • When you're done click Apply, then Exit.

Now that you are logged in to your Hama DR-50 router you should see the following:

Click the Virtual Server link near the left of the page.

Forward Ports 80 on the Hama DR-50

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. QSee QT428-803 requires you to forward the 80,6036 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Virtual Server Configuration menu and then click Add This Setting.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Virtual Server Configuration page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Add This Setting.

When you're finished, click Save Settings near the left of the screen to save your changes.

And that's it! You're done!

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for QSee QT428-803 on the Hama DR-50 you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
