Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Homeline HLA-WR3000 router your device needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Login to the Homeline HLA-WR3000 Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your Homeline HLA-WR3000 Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your Homeline HLA-WR3000 router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The Homeline HLA-WR3000 Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Homeline HLA-WR3000 router. By default the IP address should be set to

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

The Default Homeline HLA-WR3000 Router Password is: blank or none

Click the Ok button to log in to your Homeline HLA-WR3000 router.

How to Port Forward Access Remote PC on the Homeline HLA-WR3000

Now that you are logged in to your Homeline HLA-WR3000 router you should see the following:

Click the WAN IP Filter link near the left of the page.

Forward Ports 34012 on the Homeline HLA-WR3000

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. Access Remote PC requires you to forward the following ports: 34012. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the WAN IP Filter menu.

Forward Ports 34012 on the Homeline HLA-WR3000

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers WAN IP Filter page. Go ahead and enter those settings now.

When you're finished, click Update near the bottom of the screen to save your changes.

And that's it! You're done!

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for Access Remote PC on the Homeline HLA-WR3000 you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
