Port Forwarding the Level One FBR-1403TX Router for DC++

Login to the Level One FBR-1403TX Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How to Port Forward DC++ on the Level One FBR-1403TX

Having trouble forwarding ports on the Level One FBR-1403TX?

If you are having trouble with this guide, then perhaps PFConfig may be your solution. PFConfig is a software tool that will automatically forward ports for your Level One FBR-1403TX router to save you time and hassle.

Before we can forward ports for DC++, we need to set which port DC++ is using. Here is a brief walkthrough on how to do that. Go ahead and open up DC++.

Click File in the menu at the top of your screen. In the list that drops down click Settings.

Make sure the Active radio button has a dot in it. I'm not absolutely sure that entering your external ip address in the IP box is required. You can try leaving it blank, but if you remain unconnectable try putting your external ip address into that box. Your external ip address is Enter the port you want DC++ to use into the TCP Port and the UDP Port boxes. You can enter whatever port you like into those boxes, but a port between 10000-60000 will most likely not be blocked by your ISP. Please enter the port you chose into the box below.

Now that you are logged in to your Level One FBR-1403TX router you should see the following:

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

Click the Ok button to log in to your Level One FBR-1403TX router.

Click the Advanced link near the left of the page.

Click the Virtual Servers link near the center of the page.

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. DC++ requires you to forward the AppFullPortsListTag ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Virtual Servers menu and then click Add.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Virtual Servers page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Add.

And that is it! You are done!

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for DC++ on the Level One FBR-1403TX you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
