Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Linksys WAG160N router your device needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Now that you have setup a Static IP Address on your device, please enter the IP address that you assigned to your device here:

Login to the Linksys WAG160N Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your Linksys WAG160N Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your Linksys WAG160N router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The Linksys WAG160N Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Linksys WAG160N router. By default the IP address should be set to

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

The Default Linksys WAG160N Router Username is: admin

The Default Linksys WAG160N Router Password is: admin

Click the Ok button to log in to your Linksys WAG160N router.

Now that you are logged in to your Linksys WAG160N router you should see the following:

Click the Applications & Gaming link near the top of the page.

You should now see a new menu. In this new menu, click Single Port Forwarding or Port Range Forwarding.

Forward Ports 5004-5005 on the Linksys WAG160N

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. Gizmo Project requires you to forward the following ports: 5004-5005,64064. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Single Port Forwarding or Port Range Forwarding menu.

Forward Ports 64064 on the Linksys WAG160N

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Single Port Forwarding or Port Range Forwarding page. Go ahead and enter those settings now.

When you're finished, click Save Settings near the bottom of the screen to save your changes.

And that's it! You're done!

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for Gizmo Project on the Linksys WAG160N you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
