Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Microlink Microlink-Dsl-Router router your device needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Login To The Microlink Microlink-Dsl-Router Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

Click the Ok button to log in to your Microlink Microlink-Dsl-Router router.

How to Port Forward QSee QSD2308L on the Microlink Microlink-Dsl-Router

If you are having trouble with this guide, then perhaps PFConfig may be your solution. PFConfig is a software tool that will automatically forward ports for your Microlink Microlink-Dsl-Router router to save you time and hassle.

Configuring the DVR to pick up an IP address

  • Press Menu
  • Select System

  • Select Network

  • Put a check in the DHCP box.
  • Select OK.

  • Exit out to the live cameras by pressing the ESC button on the DVR.

Power Cycle the DVR

  • Remove the power cable from the back of the dvr.
  • Wait 20 seconds.
  • Plug in the power cable.

Identifying the IP address

  • Press Menu
  • Select Info
  • Select Network

  • Write down the IP address, subnet mask & gateway found on your info network screen.

Assign a Static IP

  • Press Menu
  • Select System

  • Select Network

  • Remove the check from the DHCP box.
  • Input the same IP address, subnet mask & gateway - (you wrote down earlier).

  • Select ok

Now that you are logged in to your Microlink Microlink-Dsl-Router router you should see the following:

Click the Virtual Server link near the left of the page.

When you're finished, click Save Settings near the left of the screen to save your changes.

And that's it! You're done!

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for QSee QSD2308L on the Microlink Microlink-Dsl-Router you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
