Login To The Motorola SBG941 Router Using Your Web Browser
Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.
In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Motorola SBG941 router.
By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.0.1.
You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

Click the Login button to log in to your Motorola SBG941 router.

Configuring the DVR to pick up an IP address
Make sure Type is set to DHCP
The DVR will reboot & pick up an ip address from the router.
Identifying the IP address
Write down the ip address, subnet mask & gateway.
Assign a Static IP
Change Type to Static
Input the same ip address, subnet mask & gateway - (you wrote down earlier).
Now you have completed the ip configuration for the dvr.
Move on to the port forwarding section . in you router.

Now that you are logged in to your Motorola SBG941 router you should see the following:
Click the Advanced link near the top of the page.
The menu on the left should change. In this new menu, click Forwarding.

you to forward the following ports: 80,9000. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Forwarding menu.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Forwarding page.
Go ahead and enter those settings now.

When you're finished, click Apply near the bottom of the screen to save your changes.
And that's it! You're done!
Test if Your Ports are Open
