To setup port forwarding on the Motorola VT1000 router your device needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:
Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.
It's ok if you don't know your Motorola VT1000 router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:
In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Motorola VT1000 router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.102.1.
You should see a box prompting you for your Motorola VT1000 password. Enter the password now.
Click the Ok button to log in to your Motorola VT1000 router.

If you can't login to your router because you forgot your Motorola VT1000 router password, use our How to Reset a Router Password guide to set your Motorola VT1000 router back to its factory settings.
Now that you are logged in to your Motorola VT1000 router you should see the following:
Click the Advanced link near the left of the page.
We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. FastTrack requires you to forward the following ports: 1214. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Virtual Servers menu.
You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Virtual Servers page. Go ahead and enter those settings now.
Click the Save Changes button near the bottom of the page.
Click the Reboot button near the bottom of the page.
And that is it! You are done!
Now that you have forwarded ports for FastTrack on the Motorola VT1000 you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
