Port Forwarding the Netcomm NB1300ADSL Router for QSee QSDR and 9004 DVRs

Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Netcomm NB1300ADSL router your device needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Login to the Netcomm NB1300ADSL Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your Netcomm NB1300ADSL Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your Netcomm NB1300ADSL router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The Netcomm NB1300ADSL Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Netcomm NB1300ADSL router. By default the IP address should be set to

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

The Default Netcomm NB1300ADSL Router Username is: admin

The Default Netcomm NB1300ADSL Router Password is: password

Click the Ok button to log in to your Netcomm NB1300ADSL router.

How to Port Forward QSee QSDR and 9004 DVRs on the Netcomm NB1300ADSL

Having trouble forwarding ports on the Netcomm NB1300ADSL?

If you are having trouble with this guide, then perhaps PFConfig may be your solution. PFConfig is a software tool that will automatically forward ports for your router to save you time and hassle.

Configuring the DVR to pick up an IP address

  • Press Menu
  • Select Network
  • Make sure Type is set to DHCP

  • Select Apply
  • Select Exit
The DVR will reboot & pick up an ip address from the router.

Identifying the IP address

  • Press Menu
  • Select Network
  • Write down the ip address, subnet mask & gateway.

Assign a Static IP

  • Change Type to Static
  • Input the same ip address, subnet mask & gateway - (you wrote down earlier).

  • Select Apply
  • Select Exit
Now you have completed the ip configuration for the dvr.
Move on to the port forwarding section . in you router.

Now that you are logged in to your Netcomm NB1300ADSL router you should see the following:

Click the show advanced settings link near the left of the page.

You should now see a new menu. In this new menu, click Port Forwarding.

Forward Ports 80 on the Netcomm NB1300ADSL

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. QSee QSDR and 9004 DVRs requires you to forward the 80,9000 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Port Forwarding menu and then click Add This Setting.

Forward Ports 9000 on the Netcomm NB1300ADSL

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Port Forwarding page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Add This Setting.

When you're finished, click Save Setting and Reboot near the left of the screen to save your changes.

And that's it! You're done!

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for QSee QSDR and 9004 DVRs on the Netcomm NB1300ADSL you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
