Port Forwarding the Netcomm NetcommNB5 Router for Unreal Tournament 2004

Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Netcomm NetcommNB5 router your computer needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Login to the Netcomm NetcommNB5 Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your Netcomm NetcommNB5 Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your Netcomm NetcommNB5 router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The Netcomm NetcommNB5 Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Netcomm NetcommNB5 router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.1.1.

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

The Default Netcomm NetcommNB5 Router Username is: admin

The Default Netcomm NetcommNB5 Router Password is: admin


Click the Ok button to log in to your Netcomm NetcommNB5 router.

Click the Advanced button near the top of the page.

The menu on the left should change. In this new menu, click Port Forwarding.

Click the Custom Rules button near the center of the page.

Forward Ports 7777-7788 on the Netcomm NetcommNB5

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. Unreal Tournament 2004 requires you to forward the 7777-7788,27900,42292 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Custom Port Forwarding menu and then click Apply.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Custom Port Forwarding page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Apply.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Custom Port Forwarding page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Apply.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Custom Port Forwarding page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Apply.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Custom Port Forwarding page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Apply.

Select the applications you just created in the Available Rules list, then click the Add > button to move them to the Applied Rules box.

When you are finished, click the Apply button.

When you're finished, click Save Settings near the left of the screen to save your changes.

And that's it! You're done!


Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for Unreal Tournament 2004 on the Netcomm NetcommNB5 you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
