Port Forwarding the Netgear FR314 Router for PS3 WALL-E

Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Netgear FR314 router your computer needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:


Now that you have setup a Static IP Address on your computer, please enter the IP address that you assigned to your computer here:

Login to the Netgear FR314 Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your Netgear FR314 Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your Netgear FR314 router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The Netgear FR314 Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Netgear FR314 router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.0.1.

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

The Default Netgear FR314 Router Username is: admin

The Default Netgear FR314 Router Password is: password


Click the Ok button to log in to your Netgear FR314 router.

Now that you are logged in to your Netgear FR314 router you should see the following:

Click the Firewall link near the left of the page.

Click the Access link.

Forward Ports 5223 on the Netgear FR314

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. PS3 WALL-E requires you to forward the 5223,3478,3479,3658 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Rule Managment menu and then click Apply.

Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the services menu, and click Add. Now head back to the services window by clicking on Firewall, then Access, then Services.

Forward Ports 5223 on the Netgear FR314

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Rule Managment page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Apply.

PS3 WALL-E requires you to forward the 5223,3478,3479,3658 ports.
Add a known service:
Or, add a custom service:

Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the services menu, and click Add. Now head back to the services window by clicking on Firewall, then Access, then Services.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Rule Managment page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Apply.

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for PS3 WALL-E on the Netgear FR314 you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
