Forward Ports 7777 on the Netgear FVS114

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. Terraria requires you to forward the following ports: 7777. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Virtual Server menu.

Click Services in the menu on the left side of the screen.

Click Add Custom Service.

Service Definition
Start Port:
Finish Port:

Enter a name for the program you are forwarding ports for into the Name box. If you are forwarding a single port, enter that number into the Start Port and End Port boxes. If you are forwarding a range of ports, enter the lowest number of that range into the Start Port box. Then enter the highest number of that range into the Finish Port box. Leave the protocol type set to TCP/UDP. When you are finished, click Apply. Now, click Rules in the menu on the left side of the screen.

Click Add in the Outbound or Inbound Services section. If you are unsure whether the program you are using will use these ports for inbound or outbound, repeat the process for both Inbound and Outbound.

Send to LAN Server ...
WAN Users

Select the service you previously made using the Service drop down box. Set Action to ALLOW always. Enter the IP address you want to forward these ports to in the Send to LAN Server boxes. If you are forwarding ports so you can run a program on your computer, you should enter your computer's IP address into the Send to LAN Server boxes. WAN Users should be set to Any, unless you want to limit who can connect to these ports. This would be useful if, lets say, you only wanted your office computer to be able to FTP into your home computer. In that case you would put your office computer's IP address into both the start and finish boxes. Generally Log should be set to never, unless of course you want to create a log of network activity. When you are finished, click Apply.

And that is it! You are done!
