Port Forwarding the Netopia 3347W Router for AVer

Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Netopia 3347W router your computer needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:


Now that you have setup a Static IP Address on your computer, please enter the IP address that you assigned to your computer here:

Login to the Netopia 3347W Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your Netopia 3347W Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your Netopia 3347W router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The Netopia 3347W Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Netopia 3347W router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.1.1.

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

The Default Netopia 3347W Router Username is: admin

The Default Netopia 3347W Router Password is: 1234


Click the Ok button to log in to your Netopia 3347W router.

Now that you are logged in to your Netopia 3347W router you should see the following:

Click the Expert Mode link near the left of the page.

Click the Yes, enter expert mode button near the center of the page.

The menu on the left should change. In this new menu, click Configure.

You should now see a new menu. In this new menu, click NAT.

Click the Define Custom Service button near the center of the page.

Put a dot into the Port Forwarding: Range of Ports radio button.

Click the Next button.

Forward Ports 53 on the Netopia 3347W

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. AVer requires you to forward the 53,80,1053,5550,5555,9999 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Port Range menu and then click Next.

Forward Ports 80 on the Netopia 3347W

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Port Range page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Next.

Protocol: TCPUDP


Forward Ports 1053 on the Netopia 3347W

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Port Range page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Next.

Service Name:
  The above name will be saved as this service's description
Global Port Range: -
Base Host Port:
Protocol: TCPUDP


Forward Ports 5550 on the Netopia 3347W

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Port Range page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Next.

Service Name:
  The above name will be saved as this service's description
Global Port Range: -
Base Host Port:
Protocol: TCPUDP


Forward Ports 5555 on the Netopia 3347W

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Port Range page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Next.

Service Name:
  The above name will be saved as this service's description
Global Port Range: -
Base Host Port:
Protocol: TCPUDP


Forward Ports 9999 on the Netopia 3347W

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Port Range page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Next.

Service Name:
  The above name will be saved as this service's description
Global Port Range: -
Base Host Port:
Protocol: TCPUDP

Select the service you created from the Service Name drop down box.

Click the Enable button.

And that is it! You are done!


Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for AVer on the Netopia 3347W you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
