Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Origo ASR-8400v2 router your device needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Login to the Origo ASR-8400v2 Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your Origo ASR-8400v2 Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your Origo ASR-8400v2 router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The Origo ASR-8400v2 Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Origo ASR-8400v2 router. By default the IP address should be set to

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

The Default Origo ASR-8400v2 Router Username is: admin

The Default Origo ASR-8400v2 Router Password is: epicrouter

Click the Ok button to log in to your Origo ASR-8400v2 router.

How to Port Forward VoipBuster on the Origo ASR-8400v2

Having trouble forwarding ports on the Origo ASR-8400v2?

If you are having trouble with this guide, then perhaps PFConfig may be your solution. PFConfig is a software tool that will automatically forward ports for your router to save you time and hassle.

Before we can forward ports for VoipBuster, we need to figure out what ports VoipBuster is using. Here is a brief walkthrough on how to do that. Go ahead and open up VoipBuster.

Click Tools in the menu at the top of your screen. In the list that drops down click Options.

Click Connection on the left hand side of the VoipBuster program. You should now see the menu shown in the screenshot above. Make sure the Use Port box is checked. The number in the box to the right of the Use Port text contains the port you need to forward. You can change the port number, if you want to. Please enter the port you chose into the box below.

Now that you are logged in to your Origo ASR-8400v2 router you should see the following:

Click the Virtual Server link near the left of the page.

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. VoipBuster requires you to forward the ports you entered above. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Virtual Server Configuration menu and then click Add This Setting.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Virtual Server Configuration page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Add This Setting.

When you're finished, click Save Settings / Reboot near the left of the screen to save your changes.

And that's it! You're done!

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for VoipBuster on the Origo ASR-8400v2 you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
