Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Pirelli DRG-A225Gv2 router your computer needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:


Now that you have setup a Static IP Address on your computer, please enter the IP address that you assigned to your computer here:

Login to the Pirelli DRG-A225Gv2 Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your Pirelli DRG-A225Gv2 Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your Pirelli DRG-A225Gv2 router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The Pirelli DRG-A225Gv2 Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Pirelli DRG-A225Gv2 router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.1.1.

Having trouble forwarding ports on the Pirelli DRG-A225Gv2?

If you are having trouble with this guide, then perhaps PFConfig may be your solution. PFConfig is a software tool that will automatically forward ports for your Pirelli DRG-A225Gv2 router to save you time and hassle.

Configuring the DVR to pick up an IP address

  • Press Menu
  • Select Network
  • Make sure Type is set to DHCP

  • Select Apply
  • Select Exit
The DVR will reboot & pick up an ip address from the router.


Identifying the IP address

  • Press Menu
  • Select Network
  • Write down the ip address, subnet mask & gateway.


Assign a Static IP

  • Change Type to Static
  • Input the same ip address, subnet mask & gateway - (you wrote down earlier).

  • Select Apply
  • Select Exit
Now you have completed the ip configuration for the dvr.
Move on to the port forwarding section . in you router.

Now that you are logged in to your Pirelli DRG-A225Gv2 router you should see the following:

Click the NAT link near the left of the page.

You should now see a new menu. In this new menu, click Virtual Server.

Forward Ports 80 on the Pirelli DRG-A225Gv2

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. QSee QR414-405-3 requires you to forward the 80,9000 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Virtual Server menu and then click Add.

Forward Ports 9000 on the Pirelli DRG-A225Gv2

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Virtual Server page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Add.
