Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Planet WMRT-414 router your computer needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Login to the Planet WMRT-414 Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your Planet WMRT-414 Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your Planet WMRT-414 router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The Planet WMRT-414 Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your Planet WMRT-414 router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.0.1.

How to Port Forward Zmodo H9116UVDH on the Planet WMRT-414

Now that you are logged in to your Planet WMRT-414 router you should see the following:

Click the General Setup link near the left of the page.

This router has two different sections that allow you to forward ports. One section allows you to forward a range of ports, and the other allows you to forward a single port. To forward a range of ports, click Port Forwarding. To forward a single port, click Virtual Server.

Forward Ports 80 on the Planet WMRT-414

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. Zmodo H9116UVDH requires you to forward the 80,8080,9000 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Port Forwarding or Virtual Server menu and then click Add.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Port Forwarding or Virtual Server page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Add.

Forward Ports 9000 on the Planet WMRT-414

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Port Forwarding or Virtual Server page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Add.

When you're finished, click Apply near the bottom of the screen to save your changes.

And that's it! You're done!


Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for Zmodo H9116UVDH on the Planet WMRT-414 you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
