Port Forwarding the PowerNet PAR-720G Router for Iris Online

Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the PowerNet PAR-720G router your device needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Login to the PowerNet PAR-720G Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your PowerNet PAR-720G Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your PowerNet PAR-720G router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The PowerNet PAR-720G Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your PowerNet PAR-720G router. By default the IP address should be set to

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

Click the Ok button to log in to your PowerNet PAR-720G router.

How to Port Forward Iris Online on the PowerNet PAR-720G

Now that you are logged in to your PowerNet PAR-720G router you should see the following:

Click the Configuration button near the left of the page.

You should now see a new menu. In this new menu, click Virtual Server.

Click the Add Virtual Server link near the center of the page.

Forward Ports 14400 on the PowerNet PAR-720G

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. Iris Online requires you to forward the 14400,14600 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Add Virtual Server menu and then click Apply.

Forward Ports 14600 on the PowerNet PAR-720G

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Add Virtual Server page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Apply.

When you're finished, click Save Config to FLASH near the left of the screen to save your changes.

And that's it! You're done!

Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for Iris Online on the PowerNet PAR-720G you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
