Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the Q-Tec 778WR router your device needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:

Login to the Q-Tec 778WR Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

Click the Firewall link near the left of the page.

You should now see a new menu. In this new menu, click Port Forwarding.

Forward Ports 80 on the Q-Tec 778WR

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. Netflix requires you to forward the 80,443 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Port Forwarding menu and then click Apply Changes.

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Port Forwarding page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Apply Changes.

Test if Your Ports are Open
