Port Forwarding the RealTek RT-3500 Router for Freephoneline

Before Forwarding a Port Setup a Static IP Address

To setup port forwarding on the RealTek RT-3500 router your computer needs to have a static IP address. You should complete one of the following steps first:


Now that you have setup a Static IP Address on your computer, please enter the IP address that you assigned to your computer here:

Login to the RealTek RT-3500 Router

Now we need to know your routers IP address. You can find it a variety of ways.

How To Find Your RealTek RT-3500 Router IP Address

It's ok if you don't know your RealTek RT-3500 router's internal IP address. You can find it by doing one of the following:

Login To The RealTek RT-3500 Router Using Your Web Browser

Open a web browser like Internet Explorer or Firefox. Enter the internal IP address of your router in the address bar of your browser.

In the picture above the address bar has http://www.google.com in it. Just replace all of that with the internal IP address of your RealTek RT-3500 router. By default the IP address should be set to 192.168.1.254.

You should see a box prompting you for your username and password. Enter your username and password now.

The Default RealTek RT-3500 Router Username is: admin

The Default RealTek RT-3500 Router Password is: admin


Click the Ok button to log in to your RealTek RT-3500 router.

How to Port Forward Freephoneline on the RealTek RT-3500

Now that you are logged in to your RealTek RT-3500 router you should see the following:

Click the Firewall link near the left of the page.

You should now see a new menu. In this new menu, click Port Forwarding.

Forward Ports 5060-5061 on the RealTek RT-3500

We will list a series of lines here that will show you exactly how to forward the ports you need to forward. Freephoneline requires you to forward the 5060-5061,6060-6061,13000-13001 ports. Go ahead and enter the settings shown above into the Port Forwarding menu and then click Apply Changes.

Forward Ports 6060-6061 on the RealTek RT-3500

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Port Forwarding page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Apply Changes.

Forward Ports 13000-13001 on the RealTek RT-3500

You should see another page of settings that need to be entered into one of the blank lines on your routers Port Forwarding page. Go ahead and enter those settings and then click Apply Changes.

And that is it! You are done!


Test if Your Ports are Open

Now that you have forwarded ports for Freephoneline on the RealTek RT-3500 you should test to see if your ports are forwarded correctly.
